…with the unexpected, and as always it brings baggage
We are back to continue our safari in the Technojungle. Please keep in mind that this website is a prepublication of the books as explained at the beginning of The Future Never Arrives.
As I was editing this book for the last time and publishing the first book, the idea struck me for a third book. I am gathering material which I hope will lead to writing the third book. This project just continues to grow.
As I prepare for formal layout of the first book, publish the second book here, and work towards a third book, I am also working to develop some of my own graphics for the books. While considering an alternative road sign in book one, I suddenly wondered if I could adapt a version of the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. This led me to discover that it is part of a design movement call Googie. It began in the late 1940s and faded in popularity during the mid-1960s. I came to realize that the futuristic, atomic, space age inspired designs reflecting the optimism that technology was going to bring a wonderful future is exactly what I grew up following and it thus exactly what these books are about. Googie is to become the motif-theme of the books.
As you can see, my future is full. I have plenty to work on. See you in the Technojungle.
Edit: A third book, if it happens, is pushed further into the future as I continue to finalize the first two books and perhaps the workbook.
I could (adapted) a version of the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign.

I like the theme of Googie, exploring the space-themed art work of that generation.
